Tracking progress

So I've been studying both Spanish and Irish with Duolingo, for a few months now. It used to be that the app tracked XP for each different language--I'd have to get 20 XP in both to meet my daily goal. Now it seems the app tracks them together? So if I do two exercises in Irish then my Spanish goal is also completed for the day. Is it supposed to be that way now, or is it a bug? I really don't like it. They're different languages and I'd like to keep them separate. If someone could clarify this for me it'd be much appreciated!

Interesting: I've always had an account-level coach goal, never a language-specific one. (Swedish, Spanish, and English-via-Spanish)
