why shouldn't be ''Håbet er stadig der.'' accepted?

This still hasn't been answered 4 years later, I'd like to know too. Anyone?

Can "endnu" be used for "still" the way "yet" can in English (and "encore" in French)?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but you can say "Håbet er der endnu" (The hope is still there) og "Håbet er der ikke endnu" (The hope is not there yet) in Danish.

Burde "Der er stadig håb" også være gyldig?
