I am struggling with French pronunciation. Would appreciate if anyone knows online links for practicing but all tips and advises are welcomed :)
I think the best thing is to just listen to as much French as you possibly can -
If you like music - try www.lyricstraining.com - I love it.
French movies with FRENCH subtitles (http://www.filmfra.com)
French kids books read aloud (www.bookbox .com)
French news and also learning videos etc - http://www.tv5monde.com
If you are anywhere near an Alliance Francaise, become a member and borrow the Audio Books - I listen to the easy ones in the car just to hear the sounds and then more difficult ones you can "read" at home while you are listening to the book.
This is a great podcast - she speaks super clearly and has a really lovely voice. You have to subscribe to get the full transcription of each podcast, but there's lots available for free :)
If you like FRENCH pronounciation explained, a girlfriend really likes these short you-tube videos by a lady called Geri Metz. She is an American woman and talks about an American Mouth and what it does to French words and explains how you can work to correct this. They are very short videos so don't cover too much at once (which is a good thing) and although her accent is not a French one, her observations on the differences are often very accurate to my Anglophone ear and very easy to understand. The link below is to her first video, but there are about 25 currently available (they are trail clips for a course she is developing I think)
Bonne Continuation :)
Oh, I found 'OTHER HELPFUL LINKS'. I did not scroll down enough... but feel free to send more tips :)
I agree with Puppy7989, news and music help a lot, as well as Alliance Francaise. The AF usually also has once a week classes and even monthly or bimonthly discussion groups were there will be plenty of people really willing to help you on your pronunciation. I highly recommend it!
http://ielanguages.com/frenchphonetics.html That website goes through french pronunciation for american English speakers. It's very helpful.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92aQwVUBAYY This video also has tip and stuff and is also helpful. The only other thing I would say to do is to practice listening and speaking. Bonne chance.
