French Podcasts - Listen in French!

Salut! Recently I found this brilliant podcast on the iTunes Store and I wanted to share it with everyone! It's called 'News in Slow French' and it's available on the Apple iTunes Store for free in the podcasts section and online at

http://www.newsinslowfrench.com/

The presenters Catharine and Rylan discuss various topics which have been featured recently on the news as well as French grammar (although this only takes up a small portion of the show), speaking slowly the whole time so that you are able to understand everything they say. The website also has the script so you can read along at the same time if you want to. They release new ones regularly. I think it's brilliant as it helps you immerse yourself in proper French being spoken and it is also quite interesting to listen to as you get a feel for the French language.

If anyone else likes this as well or knows of any other useful podcasts or video channels etc. please tell us! Thank you for taking the time to read this and happy learning! Enjoy Slow French!

Thanks for sharing - 'News in Slow French' is a great resource for this stage of my learning!

The "Katia and Kyliemac Learn French" podcast and web site is another that I have found interesting to follow: http://learnfrench.katiaandkyliemac.com/

Looks really great! On the website you can follow the text version with translations on hover for more advanced vocabulary.

One (tiny, really) bad thing is that the pronunciation is not error-free. A few slightly mispronounced vowels, liaisons that are missing... All it means is that when you get good enough that you wish they'd speak faster, it's time to note take all their pronunciation for granted any more (and check for native speaker speech). I almost feel bad for the negative feedback, as they clearly put a lot of effort in this, and as 99% of learners of French on duolingo will greatly benefit from listening to the podcast :(
