Past Tense: Should I be intimidated?

I've never gone over these words before, never seen them before. All the other lessons were less intimidating because I had gone over at least a few of them before... Any tips before I dive into this?

It is just another set of verb conjugations. Try this. There are two kinds, the preterit and the imperfect. The preterit is used for one-time past events, while the imperfect is used for events that are repeated in the past.

You can check the conjugation of any verb here. The Preterito Perfecto Simple is right underneath Futuro. They should have a space between tenses, but seem to have missed it there. http://conjugueur.reverso.net/conjugaison-espagnol-verbe-caminar.html

You can check the definition of a verb here: http://dictionnaire.reverso.net/espagnol-anglais/fue This is where you find out that "fue" could be the past tense of "Ser" which means "to be" or it could be the past tense of "Ir" which means "to go". Oh well, we have words that have more than one meaning. Hey, you know most of those verbs, just not these forms of those verbs. http://dictionnaire.reverso.net/espagnol-anglais/ser

Being intimidated is probably going to make it harder to master the past tense forms, so ideally you "should not" be intimidated. Of course, that's easier said than done. Assuming you're doing this for recreation, it might help to remind yourself that there's no rush. If you keep working at it, you will master the past tense forms eventually.
