I'm not even through the first section of lessons yet, but I'm already better at reading Spanish, and today I could even understand the gist of a native speaker enough to have a conversation. Of course I'll be continuing my lessons, and I can't do too much more as I'm disabled by chronic illness, but I am hungry for some other ways to learn.

The audiolingual part of the program is the weakest, so I've been adding challenges like only listening to sentences before I look at them, and repeating whatever is said. (Which sometimes takes a few tries as my tongue wants to speak French while my brain wants to speak Spanish.)

I'm going to try watching some Spanish-language TV, hopefully with Spanish captions. Does anyone else have any suggestions to use and/or supplement what we're learning? Thank you!
