What's the most effective way to do Duolingo?

  • 1134

I'm wondering what's the most effective way to learn a language on Duolingo? At the moment I do a lesson (normally if I get 0 stars I do it again), and then about half way through the unit/topic I press practise weakest words.

What does everyone else do?

Personally, I do 1 lesson per day, then do Weakest Words for the entire skill 3 or 4 times and then the practice for the entire tree a couple of times. I find the pace at which DL throws new vocabulary at you overwhelming so I focus on practice. As you can see, I'm in no hurry. ... From reading previous discussions, I see that some people race through the entire tree and then just continue on with lots of practice.

Hey Guys, I'm working on a project about language learning. Mind taking a quick survey? Trying to understand why folks want to learn a language, and what's the most effective. It'll take under 2 minutes, I promise!
