Finished my French Tree!
It seems to be the done thing, so I'm just posting that I finished the French Tree!
Thanks Duolingo, it has been great fun! Now I want to carry on and finish the Dutch tree, plus do some Spanish so that I can support my son who is learning it at school.
And see if I can get any Turkish to stick in my brain for more than 5 seconds!
Roll on Esperanto and Klingon!
Just one thing, it does seem rather a shame that there is no acknowledgment on either your profile or activities that a tree has been completed. Am I the only person who would like to see this?
I have just finished my French tree, too. Indeed, it would be nice to have something acknowledging this achievement, let's say, next to the language flag showing your learning languages. But I realize this would require some additional programming by the Duolingo team.
Congrats! Did you know that you can see other people's trees? You need to be using Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and have Grease Monkey installed. Go to the Duolingo wiki and you can get user scripts for all kinds of things, including seeing other peoples trees and getting an XP bar!
Congrats !! I agree that it would be much better to share the end of the tree with others.
Congratulations! Giving you a lingot for your aspirations to learn Klingon. ;)
Thanks! The son who is learning Spanish is a Star Trek fanatic, he positively whooped when he heard that Klingon was coming!
The answer: no. :P I'm pretty sure, though, that there's a thread with all the people that have reached level 25. If you ever get there, make sure you inform an admin so they can add your name on there ;)
Félicitations ! I'm pretty stoked for Klingon, and VERY intrigued by the mysterious Esperanto!
It would be amazing to be able to see other peoples trees in order to compare. Maybe a button to allow the tree to be visible publically or not to other duolingo accounts.
Just curious...why would that be? Finishing a tree is a personal goal that can be achieved differently. Some individuals finish a tree at level 11 some others at level 25. Some in 45 days, and some in 6 months. This may depend on how well you already know the basis of the language, how much you spend of your daily time, etc,,, finishing a tree in 10 levels or 30 days has no real meaning unless that person has well learned during the course of the exercise. You judge your own progress! The tree is only one goal and one step in the process of learning.
Exactly, I am in level 25, but just in the middle of the tree. But I am already able to order my beer in Frace :-)
C'est très bon!! Je suis une Bresilién et Je veux apprendre parler and écrire Le français aussi! Que Bonne Travaille vous avez fait!
