How to comment on a translation?

I had my modification of a translation of a sentence modified by someone who commented that punctuation (in this case a comma) always go inside rather than outside quotation marks. He told me to consult any published book, which I thought was a bit impolite and also a weak argument by appeal to authority.

The annoying thing is I can't find a way to reply to the comment. I believe that the person making the comment is following American rules of punctuation. The rest of the English speaking world has a more sensible convention. See http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/marks/quotation.htm#footnote.

You have to be under the "Original" view (from which you can also translate) not under the "translation" view.
For this reason (you can't comment under "translation" view), I don't use the "translation" view until commenting is permitted.
