Swedish Disney / I did a thing!!!!
I have made a terrible discovery.
A Swedish Disney playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbyVaLr31ORJVK88hgqZUvCCKpFQtzW4R
I am currently in a ball of feels as I work out how the Swedish versions of the songs are phrased and how they offer slightly different light on the song.
I have fallen and I can't get up. If anyone drops by Australia in the next few days, please come help me.
(But I think it's a pretty good reward for my 100 day streak. I've been learning Swedish for 100 days! I haven't missed a day yet! Honestly, a large part of the reason I am learning Swedish is because I was entirely unmotivated to do anything, and when I found out Duolingo had Swedish I was actually /excited/, so I got into it. These past 100 days I haven't always wanted to keep going, and I haven't always felt motivated, and I have often wondered if I am capable of learning Swedish to a functional level, but I kept going and kept finding that I do actually very much enjoy it if I get into it properly. So go me for keeping at it, because what I need to learn is how to just something and persevere with it and allow myself to enjoy it.) .... I blame Disney :P
Yes, Disney playlists are one of my favorite language-learning resources ever. It's just so much fun to find out what the translations mean and then find them so catchy that you get your target language stuck in your head... which is such a great problem to have! :D
Yay! I've used well-known Disney songs in my own language studies too. It's great!
