Italian captain on it??
I put "That boat is dangerous" and it was marked wrong. Nave can't translate to boat?
Nave is ship. Barca is boat. They have different meanings the same way as in English
Weird. I think there are other places where Duolingo translates nave as boat. Apparently the website is inconsistent.
I reported it 2 may 2015
Same here, 16 May 2015.
yeah duolingo all four of us need an explanation on this
If it has lifeboats, it's a ship, otherwise it's a boat. They're different things but you usually don't make this distinction in normal conversation.
Add mine to the pile, 7 August 2015
Add me to the list of boat people. ;-)
I said that ship is unsafe (being that was one of the choices) and was marked wrong???
5 August 2019: I said the ship was hazardous (also in the clues) and was marked wrong.
Costa concordia non è pericolosa
Could nave be translated as boat too?
They want this translated as THIS ship. This is wrong.
Quella = that NOT this
Wipalala you made me Giglio
(ghigno) I hope so! with a smile on our faces we try to learn. ;)
I said "This boat is dangerous" named it worming :/
Ok then what is the difference between a BOAT and SHIP?
A ship can carry a boat. A boat cannot carry a ship
The word tap exercise is bugged. It just sent the words randomly arround the gaps without following a logic order
Davy Jones begs to differ!
I put 'That ship is unsafe.' DLG marks it 'wrong' I don't quite understand the logic of this question.
Does anyone feel like the male speaker puts the accents on the wrong syllables? The female sounds normal but the guy sounds weird.
Why isn't boat acceptable
