How do you say "A sibling"? Like "I have a sibling". Is it for plural only?
The singular is "das Geschwister", but its use is limited to academia (sociology, psychology etc.).
So what is the everyday word/phrase?
I'd say "Bruder oder Schwester".
Is it not "Geschwistern" the plural for "Geschwister"? Thank you!
It depends on the case. "Geschwistern" is dative plural only.
Didn't know all of that, thank you. Very good site.
it says sibling is incorrect... come on!!
the translation for ''Geschwister'' is ''siblings".
