I lost my 36 day streak yesterday, even though I finished my daily task!
It was really helpful to use Duolingo to increase my vocabulary in Spanish. Especially recently my friends and I were challenging and motivating each other on weekly leader board. I enjoyed this continuity learning process. Unfortunately, I found that I lost my 36-day streak when I opened my Duolingo app this morning. I'm sure I did my daily practice last night, and it showed I was on track. Can someone from Duolingo can help to take a look at this issue? Thanks!
Device: iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3)
Hmmm.. it appears your daily goal is 10 XP. Normally, that would be just one lesson. However, they may be testing a new feature where the amount of XP you get depends on how strong the words you practice are. This was released on the site a few months ago, and it could be being tested on mobile now.
Did you do a practice, or a new lesson last night? IF you did a practice, this could make more sense. I'm going to look at your user info and see what I can find.
Sorry about you losing your streak :(
All right, I just posted on bchan's Duolingo page for help, not sure if that's the best way to reach her. Thanks for the explanations and help!! By the way, does that matter if I do another lesson today on Duolingo? I'm wondering if it's going to rewrite my original streak data... Or if I don't, will today be a real 'lose of streak' ==..
I had the same experience also after doing a "practice weak skills" session on my iPhone iOS 8.3 (Spanish) just to maintain my 90-day streak. I spent a day in Germany (Saturday May 2 2015) in a very nice hotel but unfortunately the WiFi router was not functioning well. Nevertheless I managed to finish my session and I received the message that I now was on a 91-day streak and the graphic was showing also that I had a 10XP score on Sa! So I thought I had managed to save my streak. But once back home my disappointment was huge. I lost my streak and I was now on a 1-day streak again. What can I do?
