Is it right to use the "la" when the referent is clearly feminine?

Lo intento:

  • Lo que es más querido es tener muchos amigos

  • La que es más grande es tu casa

Lo is used when a noun is needed to satisfy the grammar and there is no clear masculine or feminine object to refer to. For example, in the following sentence the verb hacer is 'transitive' meaning it needs an object. Lo satisfies that need then we use 'que' to describe that abstract object (lo)

Tú tienes que hacer lo que te dije. - You have to do what I told you.
