Lost my Double-or-Nothing... :(

It has now been a week since I bought a double-or-nothing using lingots. So I would be getting 10 extra lingots right about now, except that I somehow lost it.

It went like this: a few days ago, in the middle of a lesson, my streak went from 42 down to 1. I got a notification saying that I "lost my wager, better luck next time." A few minutes later, my streak fixed itself, but my wager did not. I contacted Duolingo about it, but I didn't get a response. So I lost my 5 lingots.

But what are lingots, anyway? No more than some little charges on a device. Do I really care about them? Do I really care about something so small and simple, when I can go make myself a nice, big chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and eat it? Or muffins, or cookies, or maybe a batch of vanilla chocolate chip pancakes?

I guess I should go buy a new wager now.

Oh, what a bummer. I got my 10 lingots for completing my streak, and I was all happy. (It was a pretty easy wager for me, since I practice Duolingo every day anyway. I have a lot of time on my hands, it's one of the few advantages to being unemployed.) On the other hand, my supply of lingots keeps going steadily down because I can't seem to stop buying heart refills and using them up frivolously..

It seems a lot of people had streak issues. Hopefully the bugs are all worked out now.

If I could donate a couple of my lingots to you I would. :)

Since you're at a 47 day streak and clearly would have completed your wager, I've added 10 lingots to your account. Thanks for the report and your patience!

I think this belongs in the "Troubleshooting" section.
