Danish Pronunciation?

Does anyone know any good resources to learn Danish pronunciation?

I just finished Basics 1, and I don't really get it as of yet.

A crate of Carlsberg helps. :-)

I'd recommend starting here: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/4277767

I'd also recommend careful listening to what the provided voice says :-P

You've only just begun. Even if you have an exquisite ear for languages (in which case I envy you), Danish pronunciation is still challenging.

I still remember my frustration when I learned the word citron (lemon) a couple of months ago. For some reason, I was pronouncing it with a heavy French accent. That was really weird because I don't even speak French. Only after repeating the word for an entire day did I finally manage to imitate the Danish accent. I still keep saying citron to myself from time to time, just to make sure I haven't lost it :-)

My advice is to keep practicing the words, listen carefully to the TTS, and give it time.

Good Luck!

Face it, "brød" = "polt".

The sooner you accept that and move on, the happier you'll be.

Or try Swedish - it's just like Danish, only understandable :)
