"The Italian person has total control over the city."

Translation:Tá smacht iomlán ag an Iodálach ar an gcathair.

perhaps "..... of the city" is a better English translation?

I use “control over” and “control of” interchangeably. “Over”, for me, lends itself more to flights of fancy — e.g. tendrils of spaghetti alla puttanesca, manipulated by a crazed chef, being used to play with the city’s powerbrokers as if they were puppets.

hahaha yeah I suppose "over" is the most accurate in that instance :P
