Very odd glitch
I was not prepared for this: http://webmup.com/e3e29/vid.webm
On the other hand, the random examples from Dutch thrown into my French exercises made me a lot more interested in maybe trying the Dutch course when I finish German.
Luckily, when I saw what was happening, I switched over to a timed exercise to keep my streak going before the whole thing collapsed. Completing just one example on a timed exercise is enough to activate your streak.
Hahaha, the "correct" answers are hilarious!
Is this a new polyglot for English speakers course?
Psyche!!!! Made you look!!!!
And just when you felt like you were starting to get a real feel for whatever language you were engaged in at the time. Then it's like .....whaaat???!!!?
As far as I can tell there's a bug that replaces the initial phrase (the thing to translate) with a random line in a random language every time you load a card. So you can see a line in Spanish in the Japanese to English course, or get asked to translate a line in English to a English in the English to German course (but the audio still seems to match the answer). Pretty huge bug, hopefully it gets fixed quickly and doesn't cause significant data loss for anybody.
I have the same problem, and I am on a ten day streak which I cannot continue on either PC or phone. I also get confusing translations and the languages are mixing with one and the other. :/
Same here. The audio and the translation differ, and I keep getting tasks from other languages though I'm practicing French. The same happens if I switch to another learning language. Very odd.
That was awesome! Totally happened to me as well. However it was not awesome at the time of course. Now it is totally laughable!
On topic: I did not encounter this glitch although I'm active daily for 50-200xp strengthening (French from English).
Off topic: What browser do you have and how did you get that dark theme (black duolingo on dark gray background). It seems easier for the eyes, especially at night. Thanks!
Same problem here. Bunch of different weird languages happening! I keep reporting them all, but just had to stop because it's so annoying.
yes - I think we all are seeing this. I have reported it as 'a problem with this sentence' - the only place I can see to tell them. I cannot even use it on iPad, only on the laptop, so there is definitely a glitch happening.
Just happened here too. I got a huge mix of Ukrainian/Polish and Portuguese hints, english text and french audio.
I had this problem on the iOS app. I was doing German and random French and Spanish examples were thrown in there.
