I logged out and lost all my progress and lingots. Am I never supposed to log out?

you are on level 6. I don't think you have lost some progress.

Well, Louis, I was there, and believe me! Otherwise I would not have posted about it. This happened a couple of days ago - I was on level 7 and when I logged out and logged back in I was back at 0. I have worked by way back up, but I definitely don't want it to happen again!

Why do you have a history of only two days? It seemes that you have restarted from zero. And you did a placement test to level 5.

That's really odd, that Louis can see your progress, but you can't! I'm going to see if I can see it.

It happened a couple of days ago, so you will likely see the progress I have made since then.

make a post under 'troubleshooting' and wait for a response: that's all I can think of. although I suspect you'll be waiting a long time. . . .

I assume you logged back in? Try closing your browser, then reopening it and log back in. It's hard to believe that Duolingo would take logging out as a decision to leave forever!

I tried that, but nothing. Boo! I have worked back close to where I was before I logged out, but I don't want it to happen again.

But you have 18 lingots, and are level 6 in Spanish....How does that fit in? I don't think you lost anything, maybe try rebooting your computer?

Please don't be insulted, but are you sure that you logged back in to your existing account? Maybe you accidentally created a new account. Otherwise I can't think of any reason why you'd lose your progress. I log in and out all the time.

I thought of that, too, but I used the link in my daily reminder email to log back in after I logged out and they were all gone. ? Weird. I might just remain logged in forever!

Accidentally logged off, forgot my password, had to reset it. Once I logged on, all the progress for German, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese is gone. I did noticed that my profile picture was different so it means I have two accounts. I'm only interested in the account with the most progress. My 325 streak is gone!!! Help me bitte.
