Does Danish distinguish at all between efficiency and effectiveness?
Why is it not "virkeligT effektiv"? It's an adverb here, isn't it?
The -t is optional on adverbs that denote a degree or intensify an adjective.
Han blev forfærdelig/forfærdeligt vred
Det er jeg ikke særlig/særligt interesseret i
Den er frygtelig/frygteligt sød
Firmaet har klaret sig virkelig/virkeligt godt
The computer voice's pronunciation of "effektiv" confuses me. Is it really pronounced like "effec-tew"?
Yeah the danish "v" is more pronounced like "ew"
Is in Danish no difference between effektive and efficient? In German, the words have an other meaning and not the same.
There can be differences, but it depends on what and how something is efficient/effective. In this case where "the engine is doing its job really well" effektiv is a good translation.
