The 'g' is heard at turtle speed, but it becomes silent in normal. Well, if you repeat that sentence to yourself with increasing speed, the 'g' does start to fade away. This fading effect happens translingually, it's normal.

I realised that the "g" in "og" is sometimes pronounced, and other times not. Which one is correct ?

Both! It's stylistic, but the G is usually silent in "og."
