A "kast" or "kledingkast" is the wardrobe you have at home, where you keep your clothes.

A "garderobe" is where you hang your coat at a restaurant.

Regional variations may apply :)

Garderobe is a cloakroom or all of your cloathing. Kast is a cupboard in general. Garderobekast means wardrobe but is not used very often. Kledingkast is the normal word. Also informally kleerkast or klerenkast.
