This question is mostly for moderators and geeks who have already finished the tree: What can we expect after completing a whole course? Will I be able to have a normal conversation?

Thank You Guys for creating this course! <3

You can’t expect to be able to have a normal conversation right away if you just use Duolingo. Duolingo will teach you the grammar, a lot of vocabulary and will keep you motivated, but it will never teach you how to actually converse with people.

If you want to be able to talk to people, you need to practice talking to people.

Or if you play Minecraft, find an Esperanto Minecraft server, or join any of the Skype/Steam/Google groups that plays games while chatting in Esperanto. Or go to reddit.com/r/esperanto or reddit.com/r/esperante and speak there ktp. :)

I think that if you practice along the way, yes, but you will be overly corrected by the esperanto community, which ain't bad at all.

I think you'll be able to read most Esperanto books at the very least. And be able to hold up well in a chatroom. Also, you should be able to have a conversation with a patient partner. :)
