What's with all the people falling? They are all pretty clumsy.

Could this be used like "fall in love", or just physical falling?

He literally fell :) "He falls in love" is rendered as "Li enamiĝas".

Can fali be used to talk about falling in love (or otherwise figuratively falling)

December 27, 2015

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Takxsiy

Be carefull with the figuratively fallings.

"Fali" = "come down thanks to grabity".

"Fall in love" is an English expresion, in other languages no one "comes down" in love. So, in Esperanto that English point of view is not used.

fall in love = en'am'igxi

love (someone) = am'i

lover = am'anto

So can you never repeate the subjuct in an additional phrase? ie. Is: "li renkontas šin kaj li falas" wrong?
