La komencanto diras "Hello" should be accepted, it feels like a trick question...
I disagree. The task is to translate, not to mention that "saluton"/"hello" is one of the key vocab that was covered in the previous lesson.
Hello! From this beginner :) Esperanto is an interesting hybrid language. Seems like a simplified Latin based vocabulary mixed with English grammar and pronounced in a Finnish way. Just my first impressions of this lovely language.
"la komencanto diras 'saluton'" (which is the correct answer) is not accepted.
Then report it. The moderators will find it much more quickly if you report it.
Yes, remember this is still in Beta. Mods need reports like this to make it better.
it's no longer in beta and still isn't accepted
Actually, they did accept "la komencanto diras 'saluton'" for me.
I forgot the punctuation and got it wrong. Uhhh ...
Does Esperanto use commas to separate direct quotations from the rest of the sentence?
I honestly have no idea, but it would make sense that there are many options, depending on your native language ;) Or maybe not
Shouldn't "la komencantino diras 'saluton'" be accepted?
Why is it wrong ?????? la komencanto diras Saluton!
Someone got picky about capitalization and got it wrong.
La komencanto diras Saluton was not accepted for me
Yes he does.
What about "Komencanto diras 'Saluton!'"? Is it right?
I did the same thing, but we forgot to start the sentence with "La". Otherwise it would translate back to "A beginner says, 'hello'".
No matter what i do, its wrong
Why not ........diras bonan tagon ????
And here it's demanding proper punctuation but across the rest of the app, either you can't enter it (word picking) or it just doesn't care.
