Sometimes the Discuss sentence button seems to get disabled.
I use Chrome Browser on Windows 7. When I close the Duolingo tab and open my Lesson again it works again, but only up to some unknown point. Right-Click Inspect Element gives me

I've had this problem too, but never thought to report it. Also on Chrome and seems to be very random. It's always a whole lesson, not just one sentence, so I don't think it's an issue of the discussion being locked. Similarly, though I'm not sure if simultaneously, at times the audio will not play. On any sentence. Throughout the whole lesson.
Curious to see if anyone knows what could be causing this.
Yes, I agree. Your description of the problem, including the audio, is what I experience as well.
I get this reasonably often. The lesson itself still works, but clicking on the 'report a problem' and 'discussion' buttons does nothing. Dead links. It starts working again by itself in a minute or two.
My gut-feel is that is has to do with our connections—the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. Maybe if these links are moved up in the code it will get loaded earlier and be available before the lengthy audio gets loaded and gets interrupted—or something like that.
