Is there a standard way of shortening the ordinal numbers when writing in Esperanto? E.g., in English you can write "1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th..." Can you, for example, write "1a, 2a, 3a, 4a..."?

Why are they written with "-", but 31 can be written as tridek tri.
