It's good to note that kaj is used instead of aŭ (whereas in English we'll often use or in that place).

It is more correct in English to use "and" in this sentence. It tells us that it is greener than both other trees whereas "or" implies that it is only greener than one or the other tree.

That is not what it says.
Context is what tells you this.

The only reason "la kvara" means "4 o'clock" ia when it makes sense contextually.
It is a shortened version of "la kvara horo".

Here we see though that we are shortening "arbo" out of the clauses.
