It is marking "Tá cabhair ag teastáil uaim" as incorrect even though "Tá ... uaim" is an abbreviation of "Tá ... ag teastáil uaim".

Yes, I’d made that point in my second comment in this discussion, but one of the course creators expressed the view that bí … ó could only be used for “want” here.

Thank you. In the NEID for "want" both versions are given along with several others.

There is a danger that older, more correct versions will get cast aside. There was much more Irish being spoken and used daily in the time of Dinneen than now.
