A great way to learn Esperanto or any other language for that matter is through films, not only are they entertaining and presents the language and new words, they also teach you how to speak the language and improves your language comprehension.

  • Esperanto word = English word (Esperanto root word)
  • ❤❤❤❤ = well
  • adaptita = adapted (adapti)
  • eta = tiny (-et- + a)
  • ĉirkaŭ = around
  • lago = lake
  • pluvi = to rain
  • sekiĝi = to become dry (seka + -iĝi)
  • loĝanto = inhabitant (loĝi + -anto)
  • maltrankviliĝi = to become alarmed/startled (mal + trankvila + -iĝi)
  • kampo = field
  • kreski = to grow
  • vivteni = to keep alive, make a living (vivi + teni)
  • savi = to save
  • plori = to cry
  • soifo = thirst
  • ordoni = to order/command
  • polvo = dust
  • polusa = polar
  • finfine = finally
  • atingi = to attain, reach
  • glacio = ice
  • sperti = experience
  • forrompi = to break away [tr.] (for + rompi)
  • peco = piece
  • miro = sense of wonder (miri)
  • certe = certainly
  • semo = seed
  • fosi = to dig
  • scivoleme = inquisitively
  • kreiĝi = to be created, come into being

Note: the pronunciation of "akvo" is in the first half of the video a little off, it is supposed to be pronounced like this.

La rakontanto tre klopodas prononci la vortojn tre klare kaj sen-akĉente. Bedaŭrinde li ne ĉiam sukcesas (ekz. li ofte prononcas "a" kiel [æ]). Sed la filmo bonas. Dankon pro kunhavigado!
