Can someone translate this sentence into English because both in Spanish and Portugal it doesn't make much sense to me unless interpreted in a very filosofical way.
In the Pt/En course the translation is "I give them authority". See my other comment for a bit of context. (At the time I made it, direct replies weren't possible on the Android app).
Pero el dar la autoridad para hacer algo es lo mismo que dar concentimiento o la autorización por lo explicado mi respuesta es valida por que eso me enseñó gente se brasil
I take it simply as "I give them authority" i.e. 'They have my authority". But as this is Duo we have to imagine a little context perhaps, for example, "What if they need to go over budget?" - "I give them authority". In other words I give them them the power to do so.
