Mastery Tests (Unlocking)

Hi, I recently found this site, and I was planning to use it to learn German and Spanish.

I took two years of French in high school, so I decided to try the French course. I took the intermediate checkpoint tests to try to skip the basic courses that I did not need, but I used up all of the attempts due to various nuanced errors in the short-answer questions as well as the listening questions which used vocabulary very specific to the Duolingo French lessons.

So my question is: now that I have used up all of the testing attempts, will I be able to retake the tests later? I.e., will it reset tomorrow or will it be stuck like this forever.

No you won't get more tries. You get three attempts to test out, and that's it. You can still try to test out of skills one at a time as an easy way to advance and find some potential gaps in your knowledge.

I speak native spanish...

and lost all 3 attempts due to multiple possible translations and some small typos

And by mastery tests, I mean the big shortcuts (two in the French course) that allows you to skip whole sections of the course not just the shortcut tests for just one lesson.
