I've heard that Ukrainians and Russian eat almost everything with bread. Is that true?

I think that mostly true for elder people. My grandparents eat much more bread than my parents and I do.

It's true. They don't put butter on their bread, they dip it in soup and use it a lot. Sources: interacting with sever Ukrainians

Yes, it often is. I don't like bread, and my parents find it very annoying. They always put some bread on the table, whatever they're eating.

Depends on a person's preference. But normally bread is a must for dishes like soup/borsch

I am sure this is an oversight but this answer "I do no eat soup without bread" is also very correct.
