I've lost my streak to being in a timezone twice now. Is there a way to fix this?

It's 23:11 at the time of writing this, where I am at least. I thought I'd try to keep my 5 or so day streak going. However, I realized as the page loaded that Duolingo probably already thinks it's tomorrow, and my streak is reset. Is this happening to anyone else? How do I prevent this, other than doing my lessons earlier in the day?

There's no way to change when your timezone, unfortunately. Think of it more as 24 hour window in which you need to hit your goal rather than a normal day. You can also buy a streak freeze in the lingot store to protect your streak in case you miss your XP in one 24 hour period. Of course, if you're awake when it resets, you could always get in your XP for the "day" right away instead of rushing to get your XP just before it resets.
