Hall Of Fame?
On some of the other language courses, I saw that they have a Hall of Fame of everyone who completed the course. How does the idea of that for the Esperanto course sound to you? We can just make a thread and anyone can just comment when they finish and we can add them to a list.
We could even have a Golden Hall of Fame for anyone who reaches level 25. I figure its best to create the list early to catch people from the beginning.
I don't know if the mods know how many people have finished the course, so this could be some way to keep track and also something to motivate people to keep going.
What do you think?
Edit: I've created a new thread for the Hall Of Fame https://www.duolingo.com/comment/9006297
Would be nice for the mods to have some concrete way of seeing who's finished the course - I think this is a great idea.
I know that there are HOFs (hey, should we have ZamenHOFs?) for streaks, golden owls, and level 25s. I think streak probably isn't appropriate for one language when the streak goes on regardless what language(s) you practice, but the others would work for EO. Progress quiz scores? I can't think of any other metrics to keep track of. I do think it would be lovely, with all the excitement over the course, for the devs to know how everyone's getting on :)
I thought about making a thread with links to all the threads of people who finished the tree already. It would be great if you could do something like that instead of me! :)
Yeah I figured you might be a bit busy at the moment, but I wanted to give you first refusal.
Would you be able to sticky the post as its slipping down the discussion? Thanks
I'd love that :) The course contributors have no way of finding out who or how many people completed the tree, if I recall correctly, although the Duolingo team told them a few days after launch that 4 people had finished the course.
And maybe we should have a corresponding one in Duolingo's Wikia. The forum posts aren't meant for evergreen discussions.
