"Duo says, "Hello!""
Translation:Duo diras "Saluton!"
Well i see people using "hej' all the time in esperanto forums and chatrooms. is it wrong? is it "crocodiling"?
"Hej" is to "Hi" what "Saluton" is to "Hello". The difference is not huge, but one is more broad and can be used in any circumstance while the other is slightly more casual and informal.
This is a beta test - you can't expect all answers to be in the system already; I can't stress this enough - every single correct answer (not word or combination of possible words) needs to be input in the system one at a time, and the whole point of a beta test is for testers to submit as many reports as possible to make sure all options are eventually covered and that fewer avoidable mistakes occur with future users.
Please report your answer as correct using the "Report a problem" button whenever you run into this sentence again, and wait for a while for the contributors to find it; if they decide your answer was indeed correct, you'll receive a notification explicitly saying that it has become a valid answer.
No need to feel sorry - it's a honest mistake for people involved with beta tests for the first time. In any case, I'm just an unofficial messenger trying to make sure people are doing the right things, and helping future users in the process :)
Good luck with your Esperanto journey :)
"Bonan Tagon" would be "Good day! "
"Saluton!" is "Hello! "
