A question regarding fluency

Hey guys! I have just finished my Spanish tree about a month ago, and I keep practicing lessons. However, I noticed that my fluency stays at 42%. Now, I had just finished strengthening five lessons and it still wouldn't go up. How do you make your fluency rating go up efficiently? Gracias a todos!

The advice of many will be: Save frustration by ignoring this nearly meaningless 'statistic.' ;)

You can take a look at the Words tab and check the words which are not at full strength. Strengthening all those to full strength will bump up your fluency by a fair bit.

My understanding is that duolingo only has a database of around 1000 words - nowhere near enough to become fluent. It's a cute badge I guess, but I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

Thanks guys. I got a 4.7/5 in the test and it just annoys me to see this meaningless "statistic" not improving. Maybe I'll just work on getting gold on all my past lessons then than worry about the badge.
