Translation:Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish!
And Duolingo also accepts "So long, and thanks for all the fish!" Wish we could have more of these humorous sentences. Does anyone else remember the one about living in an apple?
I was wondering if they would allow "so long" for "adieu." Great Douglas Adams reference.
I think they're treating "fish" as an uncountable substance (i.e. the food) rather than a countable object (i.e. the animal).
Oh man, finally! I kept thinking about it in French and English but couldn't figure it out. This makes sense. Thank you!
