"My profession is a teacher" sounds weird to me in English - I'd say either "I am a teacher by profession" or "My profession is teaching".

Teaching is вчителювання in Ukr., but we don't use it to talk about one's job

My answer was not accepted: "Я вчитель за професією." Good or bad? (I was confused by the English sentence, too.)

That's a good sentence, but it's also in the course with the translation "I am a teacher by profession"

Would using "це вчитель" instead of "- учитель" be correct?
