Is there much of a difference between "beber" and "tomar" when it is used as "to drink"? Is one more common than the other?
No have difference between "beber" and "tomar". I am native speaker and i am sure about that.
Eu TOMO (take) um taxi para ir ao centro. I take a taxi to go at center.
Eu TOMO (drink) um copo de água. I drink a glass of water.
