FYI, a lie, goodbye @ 499...
I finished my French tree six or so weeks ago and decided to reward myself with a Duo T-shirt. So just FYI, the women's shirts are American Apparel and they definitely have their skimpy tight-for-the-size look and thin silky feel. So unless you are willowy (and you know who you are), I would suggest ordering a size up.
In my valedictory post, I said I planned to keep my French tree gold but to return to my study of Italian in preparation for a summer trip there. But I didn't. I just kept studying French. Pourquoi? Je ne sais pas.
And now -- like actually now, I'm at the airport -- I'm headed to Italy. Following the example of several others, I'm letting my streak go to enjoy my travels and immerse myself in, if not French, still another beautiful language. Je vais vous voir en juilliet. Salut et ciao!
But there's wi-fi everywhere in Italy! ;-)
Learning French has an addictive quality to it. That might be your je ne sais pas. Faites un bon voyage !
Enjoy Italy, its wines and great cuisine! (but not too much, or your new t-shirt will really get tight!)
That will really be the hardest part... Hmmm... Pizza with mozzarella di bufala!
same here.. trying to be diligent about portuguese but i just want to keep practicing french. bon voyage et bonne chance!
je suis jaloux. I'm going to Italy in November then up to France for a week - streak might have to end there too!! Now that i don't get lingots for anything ... easier to let it go -
I would never say a 511 day streak is easy to let go just because I don't get virtual money for maintaining it. But that's just me.
Happy travelling! Never mind which language you are studying when, it's all beneficial. Those courses (and more) will be here waiting for you when you come back...
I was actually thinking about the sizing of the t-shirts not long ago, since there are gaps between the cm measures given for each size. I was wondering whether the t-shirts are rather small or rather large compared to the given sizes, but thought that asking about it here would make for a rather silly discussion opener in itself. So thanks for the information, now I am no longer wondering!
