Opening links in Duolingo in other tabs

This has been a frustration for me. I don't understand why Duolingo won't allow you to visit other pages within Duolingo in a new tab. For instance, when reviewing comments during a practice session, if someone links to a discussion topic in Duolingo in order to back up an explanation they provide, clicking on that link will automatically take you out of the exercise you are doing and then you will need to begin the practice again when you go back. I really don't understand the rationale behind this? Would be great if this could get addressed at some point.

I don't know what OS or device you are using, but for Windows, when browsing the website with Chrome, RIGHT-click on the link and select "Open link in new tab" from the menu. This should open a new tab for you.

When doing lessons, I always open two Duolingo sessions, in separate tabs (using Chrome, if that matters). I navigate each tab to the start of the lesson in question, then use the first tab to do the lesson(s) or the Strengthing exercise. The second tab is just used for reference to the vocabulary. And I usually have a third tab open to Google Translate.

Duolingo is weird about it on my computer. All other websites I just command click and a background tab automatically opens but on Duolingo I have to two-finger click and then select "open in new tab" from a menu.

Just right click and several options pop up. Just select open link in new tab and you are on you're way

you have to right-click (aka two finger click) and press 'open link in new tab' instead of doing something like ctrl + click or cmmnd + click
