"The population of Norway is quite small" would be the way most say it. Otherwise, like someone mentioned below, it sounds like the people of norway are small
Is 'populace' a valid translation for 'befolkning'? I tried it here and it was rejected.
It doesn't sound right. Only a "population" can be a number, not a "populace," despite being similar otherwise.
Shouldn't "The Norwegian population is little" work too?
It doesn't sound natural in English. It sounds like you're talking about the height of everyone, and that's certainly not the case :D
