Cuarto / Habitación

Why is this wrong?

Is there a difference between "cuarto" and "habitación"? I thought they both meant "room".

¡Gracias de antemano!

Should have used "una" as in "Necesito una habitación."

Una cosa más: dormitorio funcionaría también. ¿Verdad? Es masculino y significa (bed)room.

Sí, se puede usar dormitorio tambien.

Hopefully the course moderators see this post, and change it, because I am 99% sure that cuarto and habitación mean the same thing.

EDIT: I forgot about the genders! Cuarto is masculine, and habitación is feminine.

The problem is that there is no place on the iOS version to report errors.

They do, but they are different genders and there was no 'una' as an option.

They all mean room in some sense, even "recámara." If "una" were available, then the only one that wouldn't work is "espacio," because it means room in the sense of space ("more room"), not a physical enclosed space.

Una habitación, una recámara, un cuarto, and un dormitorio all should work. Although I don't remember learning recámara anywhere in Duolingo.
