Esperanto Course in the iPhone app?

I updated the duolingo app today. The changelog only tells about bug fixes and streak freeze additions to the app. But I noticed Esperanto Course in the courses list and it works. So does that mean Esperanto course has come to iOS app and coming soon to Android. Or is it just a glitch.

It looks like Esperanto and Norwegian have come to the app! Because they both work and are listed under the "add courses" button.

Yes, I noticed Norwegian Bokmal too in the list

Yep, very sneaky of Duolingo, if they were intentionally added! Norwegian and Esperanto are both working for me now, although still no option to report problems, so I'll stick to the desktop for now, as I'm mainly refreshing skills to report missing alternatives.

Looks like a sort of testing for the courses on the app. If it works good enough, it will be notified in the changelog in appstore.

The Turkish release was "sneaky" too. We didn't need to download an update(at least on Android), it was downloaded before the release, and the chaneglog didn't change too, it only said bugfixes. So in my opinion, this isn't a testing, this is a release.

I hope the same. Duolingo can make changes on its server without updating the app to enable or disable languages and features

With iOS, I've always been required to update to access new languages. I couldn't access Norwegian and Esperanto even after it'd been released until I updated the app. (I did get reminders to practice my "eo" and "nb" though before I updated, because the app didn't have the courses full names.) Same happened with Turkish, although Turkish being added was listed in the changelog when that happened.

iPhone app never had error reporting and sentence discussion. Android app has it for many months. I think the experience should be uniform across all mobile apps. E.g. My friend has a windows phone with updated duolingo app. That app has all latest languages like Turkish but still has the heart system in lessons.

It does not work in the android app though. But that has not been updated since June 8, whereas the iPhone app was updated yesterday.

I just opened the app and Esperanto opened straight up for me! Didn't even have to add it

I think it is a glitch. It is not ready for the IOS or Android apps yet. They would have told you in the changelog.

Hmmm... To update or not to update? I haven't updated my app in months because I love the heart system and I don't want to get a rid of it, but I want Esperanto on my app....
