It's a colour maybe in our everyday life and usage of colours, but strictly speaking, it is not a colour, it is absence of any other colours.

Black is the absence of all colours, I think you mean white is all colours together.

But on a computer screen, it's a combination of red, green, and blue so it's an abundance of colour rather than a lack. I had to look up 'achromatic' and it says that, just like with computer screens, in terms of it's a combination of colours rather than a lack.
