Does anyone else wish that we had the word 'overtomorrow' in English just to save on typing?

There is an archaic English word overmorrow that is derived from Middle English "overmorwe".

Nothing is stopping you from starting to use it. :)

I don't think it would catch on though... however, maybe 'aftermorrow' :)

Dave: "I shall see thee on the aftermorrow"

Barry: "Ehm... alright Dave. Have a good 'n...."

"The day after tomorrow, I will give you his letter."

should also be accepted.

That would be 'Overmorgen zal ik je zijn brief geven.' The focus of that sentence is different though:

Overmorgen zal ik je zijn brief geven (en niet zijn sleutel)

Ik zal je overmorgen zijn brief geven (en niet morgen)

I think both versions should be accepted.
