Translation:We did not expect a thunderstorm today.
I like how there’s single word to represent thunder and lightning, well overdue in English.
Here in Colorado, I've been using it around my non-Esperanto speaking friends & they are starting to pick it up. "It's our usual afternoon fulmotondro, get the kids out of the pool for a bit." etc.
Haha, but it's kind of like having a word that includes "cow" + "moo". It's a think plus its sound. (OK, I know it's more useful than that ... but this sentence could just be translated as "We didn't expect a (thunder)storm today.")
