Well this sentence seems great! Good luck with your English!

As for me, I still need to finish my Italian tree. I've been doing it for 2.5 years and I'm still not finished! I'm feeling more motivated now though.

that's is the contraction for "that is" so we can't use that's and sounds great in the same phrase, though we can say "that sounds great"

i hope i was helpful, for further information ask me. good luck and good work

I've studied English at school since I was 8 and now I'm 24, so I actually had a pretty good knowledge when i finished high school. I also took an English Certification and I passed it with a quite high rank! Unfortunately, studying italian literature at the university, I have very few occations to improve my English, because I never use it and I am progressively forgetting it. It's a shame, because I always loved this language :( I just keep the listening fresh thanks to the american tv-series I watch, but as far as speaking and writing (as you can see)...well, they are not my "forte" ;)

So, a few days ago I came across this website and I think it's perfect not only for starters, but also for people like me, who used to study english at school, but now they don't have the chance to use it or keep on studying it. I am going to suggest my mother to have a look at it too, since she always wanted to learn english, but never had the chance.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I've made some mistakes in the text I wrote, so if there's some english native speaker reading this, please, feel free to correct me, it would be very useful. :)

Your English is very good. There are only a few mistakes:

-It's "occasions", not "occations"

-You can say either "suggest my mother have a look" or "suggest to my mother to have a look". You can't say "suggest my mother to have a look".

-Don't forget that words like "English", "Italian" and "American" are still considered proper nouns even when they're functioning as adjectives, so they're always capitalised. You also forgot to capitalise "I" once.

You could easily pass as a native speaker. To be honest, I'd probably make as many typos as you did mistakes in a text of the same length.
