I didn't have a typo, in Australia colour has a u in it! But it still accepted it as correct.

Very well pointed out, but how many people are going to use artistic phrasology? probably about 1%, maybe a more practical phrase like 'you choose the colour' i say that all the time to my kids. Not you indicate the colour.
